Privacy Policy

Ride Buddy is a bicycle recovery and rider-support service operated by Bad Moon LLC. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it. It is deliberately short, because we collect very little.

What we collect

To run a recovery we need:

• Your phone number — so we can reach you and so your driver can
• Your name, if you give it — so the driver knows who they are looking for
• Where you are and where you are going
• What is wrong — what you tell us about your bike or situation
• Your location, only if you choose to share it by tapping a link we send
• Payment details, handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

For drivers we also hold contact details, vehicle information, insurance expiry, and background check status.

What we do with it

We use it to run the job you asked for, and nothing else. That means quoting a price, finding you a driver, letting that driver reach you, keeping you updated, and taking payment.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not share it for anyone else's advertising
• We do not send you marketing texts
• We do not track you when you are not using the service

Who we use to run this

We use a small number of service providers, and they only receive what they need:

• Twilio — sends and receives our text messages
• Airtable — stores job records
• Make — connects the parts together
• Slack — how drivers receive and manage jobs
• Stripe — processes payments

How long we keep it

We keep job records so we can settle payments, answer questions about a past recovery, and resolve disputes. If you ask us to delete your information we will, unless we are required to keep a record of a transaction.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any text and we stop messaging that number. You can email us at any time to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.

Children

Ride Buddy is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, the updated version goes on this page with a new effective date.
