Our Story: Why We Ride

We’re Tyler and Emily Lindsey, Marine Corps veterans and passionate outdoor enthusiasts who fell in love with Northwest Arkansas during a mountain biking trip. We launched Bad Moon to share our love for this area and help others discover its beauty, culture, and vibrant energy.

Why “Bad Moon”? It comes from a cherished childhood memory — a coveted pog Tyler always wanted but never had. For us, it symbolizes youthful wonder and adventure. That’s the feeling we want to channel into every ride: carefree, exciting, and full of possibility.

When we’re not on the trike, you’ll find us hiking, trail running, paddleboarding, rock climbing — or enjoying what we call our “adult summer camp” life here in NWA.

That’s why we regularly partner with local organizations, offer free or discounted rides for special events, and provide charitable rides for disabled veterans and others with limited mobility.

Frequently Asked Questions

General Ride Info

  • The pedicab comfortably fits two adults. We can sometimes accommodate a small child as a lap rider.  Contact us to discuss before booking.

  • We will pick you up at your downtown hotel or a Bentonville landmark such as the Bentonville Square, a downtown business or we will pick you up at your downtown Bentonville address or Airbnb.  Reach out prior to booking if you have a request about a different location and we will try our best to accommodate you.

  • $100/hour for the entire pedicab, not per person. The more you chat, laugh, and wave at strangers, the better the value. Prices for special events or custom rides may vary, reach out for a quote.

  • We recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead, but if you’re feeling spontaneous, text us — we might just be nearby and available.

  • Yes! Our pedicab was designed to be more accessible for riders with mobility challenges. We can lower the front panel for easier entry, so you don’t have to step over the side. At this time, we can’t accommodate wheelchairs — but we’re working toward making that possible in the future.

During the Ride

  • Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are welcome! Just keep in mind — no smoking or drinking alcohol during the ride.

  • Yes! Children must have a parent or guardian to enjoy the ride with.

  • For the safety of you and your pets, we kindly ask that you leave them at home. The pedicab is not designed to safely transport animals, and we want to make sure everyone enjoys the ride without risk. We are happy to accommodate your service animal. Please contact us prior to booking so we can discuss arrangements and make sure the experience is smooth for both of you.

  • We have tunes ready to go, but you’re welcome to DJ with your own playlist.

  • Absolutely! We love it when our riders capture the adventure. Tag us in your shots so we can share the fun — @ridebadmoon 

Custom Experiences

  • Absolutely! Whether you want coffee shop hopping, historic tours, public art, or a drop-off at an event — we can make it happen.

  • Yes! We love adding that “wow” factor to special days. From shuttling guests to giving the bride & groom a picture-perfect sendoff, we’re in.

Payments & Tips

  • We accept card, Venmo, and cash.

  • Nope — but if you had a blast, tips are always appreciated and go straight to your driver.

Weather & Cancellations

  • Light rain? We’ll bring ponchos but you are welcome to cancel or reschedule. Heavy downpour? We’ll reschedule or refund — your comfort always comes first.  We will always have to cancel or reschedule in the case of thunder and lightning for everyone’s safety.

  • Yep! Different seasons = different vibes. Spring blooms, fall leaves, summer sunsets… we love them all.

  • Cancel more than 24 hours in advance — no charge. Inside 24 hours, we’ll work with you to reschedule.
